Hi I’m Jo
My love for Rhodesian Ridgebacks began when I was a teenager and has only increased since.
Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks are loved and nurtured in our family country home in the Kent countryside.
We are not a kennel and all our crew of 8 Ridgebacks live harmoniously together in our house.
Our dogs are all Kennel Club registered, hip and elbow scored, and JME (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy) clear.

Our Ridgebacks
We have eight Ridgebacks in our family home based in the Kent countryside.
Their temperaments are outstanding and we encourage all our potential puppy owners to visit and meet our pack prior to any decisions being made.
We are deeply proud of all of our dogs and their calm and chilled out natures – something we hear time and time again from our puppy owners.
Rhodesian Ridgebacks make the most fantastic family pets and we can offer support throughout their entire lives.
We feel that the way we raise them is the way anyone buying a puppy would want their pup raised.
We expose them to daily handling, household noises, our other dogs and resident geriatric Siamese cat, and when old enough, to our horses over the fence.
This is the way that we believe all dogs should be raised and loved.

I have had ridgebacks from both of Jo’s fabulous boys and I would now never go to another breeder. I have had 3 before.
My entire boys live happily with my older castrated ridgeback who is the boss and they all adhere to the cats rule policy the cats have implemented.
My youngest one is from Brutus’s first litter. I adore all of my dogs with their different personalities but Joost has been the easiest! He is the most perfect gentlemen including with other dogs, happy to say hello but not too bothered. If someone wants to play he will play at what ever level he senses they are happy with.
He will happily walk past people whilst he is off lead and not even look at them.
He is super eager to please so very obedient and training has been so easy. I know it’s not a usual ridgeback trait but goodness me it’s wonderful! He keeps on eye on you on walks and keeps coming back to check looking up with a big dolphin smile.
He is very cuddly whether it’s with us or the other dogs.
I think the combination of the genes, the parents nature and those first few weeks with Jo cannot be beaten. As I said I would not get a ridgeback pup from anyone else now.

Jo and her dogs are amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with my gorgeous sweet Ridgeback puppy Lulu (now 3 1/2 months old). The Heath Ridge Ridgebacks are exceptionally lovely inside and out. Lulu approaches the world (in London) with such curiosity and joy. She’s a quick learner, and a champion snuggler too. Cannot wait for so many adventures ahead with this beautiful girl!
We now have four Ridgebacks from Jo & Marcus, ranging from 8yo to 8mo and we couldn’t be happier!
The girls have the most amazing temperament and everyone we meet absolutely falls in love with them 💕
Jo is always at the end of the phone for anything & provides amazing support but chances are you won’t need it because her dogs are pretty perfect in every way 🙏🏻

We received numerous photos and videos throughout and since picking up our beautiful pup she has been checking in and has been there to answer any silly questions we have.

I can’t recommend Jo enough to anyone thinking about adding a Rhodesian Ridgeback to their family. Starting from speaking to Jo when we were researching the breed, to meeting her wonderful dogs in person and then getting our boy. We always felt we could ask as many questions as we liked. And we couldn’t be happier with our boy in both his appearance (for which we get lots of compliments ) and his temperament, he’s a true family dog.
After much consideration in getting a second dog and deciding on what breed would be suitable for me, I decided that the Rhodesian Ridgeback would be the perfect companion.
Having done some lengthy research and reaching out to many breeders up and down the country, I finally found Jo at a point at which I was feeling rather overwhelmed. From our first phone call, she completely put me at ease and after a lengthy conversation, I then arranged to meet Jo at her home in Kent. We were greeted by the most wonderful and beautiful dogs, with the sweetest of temperaments and was totally bowled over by how friendly, well behaved and kind natured all of her dogs were.
Jo’s knowledge of the breed is second to none. Her loving and caring attention to not only her own dogs, but every litter, gave me the confidence knowing I had met the right person. She is always a phone call away to offer advice if needed. I now have a beautiful and much loved handsome boy, who turned 2 in May this year. He brings me so much joy and is my constant companion. We often get approached when we are out and about by people saying how beautiful and well behaved he is. I plan to get a girl in the very near future so if you are looking to get a Rhodesian Ridgeback, I would absolutely recommend Jo.

We’ve had a german shepherd and a Rhodesian ridgeback from Jo over the years.
Both are beautiful dogs with fantastic temperaments. Both had been well socialised as puppies in a domestic environment which i think makes a big difference. Jo is very calm approachable and supportive and her dogs are a credit to her.Definitely our go-to breeder!

Both my girls have come from heath ridge Rhodesian ridgebacks- it was important to me that they came from a family home environment as I have a young son.
their temperament is amazing and I’m always complemented on how well behaved they are! Look after them and they will look after you they’re such gentle souls.

We were lucky enough to find Jo when looking for a dog. She gave us advice about Ridgebacks without pressuring us. She took time to answer questions and gave us sound advice.
I was convinced early on that I wanted a dog from her line.
Margaux is now 3 years old and has been an absolute pleasure. She is the kindest soul, loyal, loving, obedient, calm and playful. She is a pleasure to have around and is a demonstration of Jo‘s wonderful breed line.
A testament to Margaux's calm nature is that she is a blood donor at the Royal Veterinary College and dispite no formal training she has made multiple visits to universities and a care homes.
I would highly recommended speaking to Jo and meeting her dogs if you are even considering a Ridgeback. You won't regret getting one of her dogs.
